GOVERNOR LALONG RECEIVES PLATEAU DAUGHTER RELEASED FROM CAPTIVITY 20 MONTHS LATER. Governor Simon Lalong says that it is only the grace of God that has kept Mwanret Daspan, a Social Worker who was working in Maiduguri before she was abducted by Boko Haram fighters in December 2020. Lalong stated this when he received her at Government House, Rayfield, Jos. The Governor who was represented by the Deputy, Professor Sonni Tyoden said that only God knows the predicament the victim must have gone through in the hands of her captors.
